The BOFA A1030398 filter is a replacement combined air filter for the BOFA V 1000/1500 IQ extractor. This filter is a main filter that uses a HEPA filter medium to remove fine particles from the air, in order to eliminate the harmful fumes, gases and vapours generated during soldering processes. Soldering is a joining process in which a solder alloy is melted to join different metals. As a result, this process can produce fumes and gases that are harmful to health and must be removed before they are inhaled by workers.
The A1030398 filter is easy to install and replace. Simply slide it into the slot provided in the extractor. We also recommend replacing the filter every 3 to 6 months, depending on use. It is also important to make sure that you use the correct filter for the right extractor, in order to guarantee optimum extractor performance and the longest possible filter life.
The BOFA A1030398 filter uses a fibreglass HEPA filter medium and high-quality activated carbon. These elements are designed to remove fine particles from the air. HEPA filters are known for their high filtration efficiency, capable of trapping up to 99.997% of particles of 0.3 microns or more. Its construction, with a galvanised steel housing sealed with polyurethane sealant, ensures optimum filtration.
